Glacier High School senior Elliott VanAllen goes over his notes with a highlighter in preparation for a debate round Friday in the Kalispell Western Regional Speech and Debate Tournament. The tournament was conducted at both Glacier and Flathead high schools Friday and Saturday. VanAllen took fifth place in the varsity Lincoln-Douglas debate.

Patrick Cote/Daily Inter Lake After finishing the final leg of her 91-mile fundraising run, Kelda Latham-Bennett, right, is greeted by Special Olympics athlete Chrissy Siefke in the Flathead Industries parking lot Monday afternoon. Latham-Bennett raised more than $4,000 for Special Olympics of Montana by running from Libby to Kalispell.
