LIQUOR: Legal moderation?

The pros and cons will always be debated on state run liquor stores and portions of the article in the Sunday Coeur d'Alene Press were very amusing, especially Jeff Anderson's comments. Does logic rule at the Idaho State Liquor Division? The state constitution mandates the prevention of excessive drinking. Is the state doing anything to prevent it? I don't think so and it is even supported by Jeff Anderson. He doesn't even know if the state is doing a good job at regulating liquor consumption - since he thinks the state is doing a good job. 

What about - "We make it available to temperate and responsible consumers." I will bet anything that liquor is also available to non-temperate and irresponsible consumers.

And, how about the statement - "The issue is, do you want to have vodka available at 1:15 in the morning?" Wake up Jeff - if I bought a bottle of vodka at noon it sure would be available a 1:15 in the morning, in fact it is available 24/7. Granted, I would not be available to purchase at that time, but who in their right mind would trudge out in the wee hours of the morning when you can purchase liquor at a more convenient time since "...the product is available in virtually all communities."
