Fall Bass Fishing on Potholes Reservoir can be surprisingly good. Here Dr. Ernie Dorrow from Othello shows a nice largemouth.

MARDON RESORT - Here in the Potholes Recreation Area we are seeing much improved waterfowl hunting with some winter weather. Also Walleye fishing on the MarDon Dock has begun. Only overnight guests are allowed to fish off the dock at night.

MARDON RESORT - Central Washington is enjoying an earlier spring than the last two years. Ice off was three weeks earlier this year compared to 2012.

The end of October, Halloween, and early November means fall is in the air. The beginning of the northern flights of waterfowl, lunker walleye on Potholes Reservoir, and especially Goose Hunting in fields are all activities outdoor enthusiasts enjoy this time of year. The water level on Potholes Reservoir has risen almost 8 feet since the lowest level of 2014.
