ANNIVERSARIES
Denney and Merle Seamster
70th Anniversary
The family of Mr. and Mrs. Denney Seamster would like to congratulate the couple on 70 years of love and marriage. Merle E. Cromwell and Denney M. Seamster were married on Nov. 22, 1941, in Washington, D.C.
Denney was in the U.S. Army for 21 years and the couple saw much of the country and traveled to Europe twice. After retirement, Denney worked at J.C. Penney and the couple continued their travels to Minnesota, Oregon, Pennsylvania and retirement in Dalton Gardens in 1975.
They have raised four children, numerous gardens and flowers, and hunted many deer and fish. And the family has enjoyed many summers with them. They have three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family wishes them many more happy years together.
Sherman and Lawanna Watts
55th Anniversary
On Nov. 24, 2011, Sherman and Lawanna Watts, of Pinehurst, will celebrate a 100th anniversary. It will be their 55th wedding anniversary and 45 years of owning and working together at Watts Appliance (Electric).
They were married in Coeur d'Alene at Trinity Lutheran Church with Bill Manthos and Sylvia Watts in the wedding party. Then in 1966 they purchased their appliance store in Pinehurst and have been Mom, Pop, the Kid and the Kid's kid. "Being married was a blessing, working together is something else."
Their children are Sindi Cysewski (John) of Bothell, Wash., Sherri White (Jim) of Pinehurst and a foster daughter, Lan Ong (Stanley) of Lake Forest, Calif. They have seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The celebration will be enjoying Thanksgiving with family and friends, with a trip to Montana to follow.
Gary and Sharon Secord
40th Anniversary
On Oct. 29, 2011, Gary and Sharon Secord celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. They were married at the Hitching Post on Oct. 29, 1971.
They have four children, Bonnie Jean, Tammy, Keri (Todd) and Scott (Amy). They have eight grandchildren, Taylor, Brady, Weston, Cameron, Dawson, Garrett, Dylan and Mallory Jean.
They both grew up in Montana. Gary worked for BNSF for 38 years and retired in September 2009. They now live in Post Falls.
BIRTHS
David Michael Lee Bartlett was born at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 5, 2011, to Lynsey Bartlett of Coeur d'Alene. He weighed 5 lbs. 6.8 oz. and was 18.25 inches long. Sisters are Alexis, 3, and Zoey, 16 months. Maternal grandparents are Tammy and Scott Hilgers, and Wayne Stringfellow. Paternal grandparents are Patty and Tim Seymour.
Malachi Mitchell Morgan was born at 7:52 p.m. Nov. 10, 2011, to Tierra Lee Menke and Arron Morgan of Coeur d'Alene. He weighed 5 lbs. 15 oz. and was 18.5 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Mitchell Menke and Brenda Menke. Paternal grandparents are Loren Morgan and Lorna Morgan.
Leila Rose Williams was born July 10, 2011, to Scott and Colleen Williams of Scotts Valley, Calif. She weighed 6 lbs. 7 oz. She joins her big brother, Tyler Ross, 2, and Alexandria Skyler, 12. Maternal grandparents are Harry and Susan Robinson of Maryland, and Charles Conway of Delaware. Paternal grandparents are Fred Williams of Oceanside, Calif., and Dennis and Lori Keller of Athol.
MILITARY
Marine 1st Class Christopher B. Williams, of Athol, graduated Oct. 21, 2011, at MCRD, in San Diego, Calif., from the United States Marine Corps. He will continue training in Amphibious Artillery Vehicles in Camp Pendleton. He graduated from Timberlake High School in June 2011. Father is Fred Williams, from Hawaii, and grandparents are Dennis and Lori Keller of Athol, and Fred Williams of Oceanside, Calif.
