Keys left in auto reported stolen

Sunday morning, someone from Fifth Avenue East North visited the Kalispell Police Department to report a vehicle with the keys left in it had been stolen Saturday night.

The blue Nissan pickup had a quarter tank of gas, four new snow tires in the back, a dent in the rear left panel, a crack the length of the windshield and plastic in place of the front grill. Also, the back left tire was nearly flat.

A 52-inch television was reported missing from a home on First Avenue East.

Earlier Sunday morning, someone on East Idaho Street told police it appeared someone drove through their garden. The caller reported damage to a tree and sign.

At about 2:45 a.m., a caller reported a suspected intoxicated driver in a late 70s pickup with a topper swerving all over the road on U.S. 93.

Around midnight Saturday, a subject was reported as suspicious for sitting in a running pickup in a parking lot on First Avenue East. Police responded and reported the subject was having a heated text message conversation with a girlfriend and didn't want to text and drive.

Earlier Saturday, a woman on Seventh Avenue West saw two men with flashlights on her property. They had been looking into mailboxes up and down the street. The caller reported a total of four men in dark clothing who split up into two groups of two.

Someone reported a car egged on Fifth Street West and ongoing problems on the block.

A woman on Ruddy Duck Drive reported receiving obnoxious phone calls from another woman.

Saturday afternoon, police responded to a dog bite reported on Salem Street. The bite broke the skin of a 14-year-old, but was not bad enough for an emergency room visit.

Early Saturday morning, the Polson Police Department responded to a report of an intoxicated driver on U.S. 93.

Police cited someone for criminal contempt after responding to a report of suspicious activity on Sixth Avenue East.

Someone was arrested for a probation violation at an area resort.

Police cited someone for criminal mischief after responding to a report of disorderly conduct at an area lodging business.

Saturday evening, police cited someone for possession of drug paraphernalia on Heritage Lane.

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office investigated a theft reported on Bierney Creek Road early Sunday morning.
