Armed robbery outside Goodwill today

From Coeur d'Alene Police:

Coeur d'Alene Police responded to the report of a robbery at the Goodwill store located at 1212 N. 4th St. at 2:00pm on today's date. The female victim/employee reported she had left the store to go make a bank deposit. She stated that she was getting into her vehicle that was parked in the store parking lot when she was accosted from behind.

The victim said a male suspect grabbed a hold of her and put a knife to her throat. The male demanded her purse. She stated that they began to struggle over the purse and the suspect shoved her to the ground.

A witness came out of the store, and saw the altercation taking place. The witness shouted at the suspect and the suspect took off on foot running south through the alley way between 4th St. and 5th St.

The victim was able to hold onto her purse that contained the bank deposit. She sustained a red mark to her neck from the knife being held against her.

The suspect is described as: A white male, in his 30's, with black hair, 6ft. to 6' 2 in height, wearing a black hoodie with possibly silver writing on it with the hood pulled over his head, and blue jeans.

He was last seen in the area of 11th St. and Foster Ave jumping a fence and continuing in a southbound direction. Officers are still on scene speaking with employees and the victim. No further information is available at this time.
