Burrell Harry Schierman, 80, died Nov. 15, 2011, at Hospice House in Hayden. Born Aug. 28, 1931, in Colfax, Wash., where he grew up and attended school.

During his life, her served in the Army, worked as the route supervisor for Coca-Cola and then farmed many years in the Colfax area until he retired. He moved to Moscow where he purchased and managed the Slurp & Burp Tavern. Retiring again, he moved to Sagle. Due to health issues, he later moved to Hayden.

Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Sally Porter Schierman; daughter Kathy Schierman Bleam of Spokane; sons Burrell Schierman Jr. of Nampa and Ted Schierman of West Richland, Wash.; and five grandchildren, Erin and Jessica Schierman, and Michael, Noah and Adam Bleam. Also survived by his brother, Steven Schierman of Moscow.

His body was entrusted to Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene, for cremation.
