All conference spikers, gridders announced

Shaun Rowe, a senior Columbia Falls volleyball player, was recently named first-team all-conference.

Wildkat teammates Gabrielle Stenger, a senior, and Taylor Peterson, a junior, were named second-team all conference.

In football, Wildcat Jacob Babcock was named second team all conference guard, Austin Barth was second team all-conference quarterback, and Parker Johnson was second team all-conference receiver.

On defense, Garrett Houston was honorable mention noseguard, Babcock was second team defensive end, Barth was first team linebacker, and Johnson was second team strong safety.

Uphill skiers need to be aware of avalanches on Big Mtn.

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s post-season uphill policy expired last week, but with significant snowfall and changing weather conditions, the resort reminds skier and hikers that avalanche hazards in the ski area’s permitted boundaries do exist.
