Groundbreaking for KTEC changed to 3 p.m.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Kootenai Technical Education Campus featuring Idaho Gov. Butch Otter and School Superintendent Tom Luna has been changed to 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
The time change was made so Otter could attend a soldier's funeral in southern Idaho.
The KTEC event will be at the southwest corner of Meyer and Lancaster roads in Rathdrum.
KTEC is a professional-technical high school that will serve the Post Falls, Coeur d'Alene and Lakeland school districts.
Otter will also participate in a groundbreaking for Ground Force Worldwide at 4:30 p.m. at 6001 E. Seltice Way, Post Falls, on Tuesday.
Hayden man involved in Spokane crash
A Hayden driver was among three individuals injured in a four-vehicle collision Friday afternoon in Spokane.
Brian Pryer, 55, was treated at the scene of the crash on eastbound I-90, just past the off-ramp of state route 195.
Pryer had stopped his car for a collision up ahead, as had the two vehicles behind him. A semi following too close behind struck the third vehicle back, which pushed into the next two.
Athol resident Jeffrey Canfield's semi was also struck in the crash, but the 31-year-old was not injured.
Pryer sustained $1,000 worth of damages to his Nissan Pathfinder, according to a Washington State Patrol press release. Canfield's semi was reported to have $10,000 in damages.
All four drivers were wearing their seat belts. Drugs and alcohol were not involved, the Washington State Patrol said.
