Tony Brown, a first year student in FVCC's culinary arts school carefully trims the crust of a Rum Raisin Apple pie on Thursday evening at FVCC. According to Tara Roth, director of Communications and Marketing for the college, FVCC culinary arts students play a significant role in the FVCC Foundation's Festival of Flavors event. In addition to presenting two Chef's Table winemaker dinners, the students made handcrafted seasonal fruit pies that were auctioned off at the Festival of Flavors kick-off event. The students will participate in the event's conclusion, the Grand Wine Tasting, by joining chefs across the Valley as they present fine foods they created to event patrons.
