On Oct. 4, 2011, God came and carried Ron away to be with Him in Heaven. Ron passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his wife, after a 10-month battle with cancer and leukemia.

Ron was born Aug. 28, 1942, in Denver, Colo., to Radford and Clarice Wright. He grew up and attended schools in the Denver area. After high school, he worked in different occupations until he bought his first truck in the late '60s.

After leaving Excel, Ron went to work for TWT out of Spokane until his retirement in 2005. For the next six years, Ron and his wife enjoyed traveling the United States in their RV, working at different campgrounds, and making new friends.

Ron enjoyed golf, traveling, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Sandi, at home; daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Monte Brunner of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; daughter Shaylene Wright of Arvada, Colo.; son David Wright of Post Falls; stepdaughter Tammy Hyden and family, currently serving in the United States Army at Fort Lee, Va.; and stepson William Wood of Tacoma, Wash.
