COULEE CITY - Derek Isaak passed for three touchdowns and ran for three more as the Warriors ran their league leading record to 5-0 with a convincing 54-12 win over the Wildcats last Friday in Coulee City.
"We played well on both sides of the ball," coach Brandon Walsh said. "Our offense was as sharp as its been all season."
The Warriors drew first blood on a 30-yard run by Colin Deyarmin. The two-point conversion by Isaac was successful and ACH led 8-0. Wilbur-Creston answered back with a score of its own to get within two, but could not convert on the two-point try. ACH rounded out the scoring in the first quarter on a 33-yard pass from Isaak to Colin and added another 2-point conversion to go up 16-6.
The Warriors high octane offense scored five times in the second quarter, while holding the Wildcats to a lone TD to take a 48-12 lead heading into the third. ACH scored one more time in the final quarter to come away with the lopsided win. The Warriors defense limited Wilbur-Creston to 72 yards on the ground and zero passing yards for the game.
"Wilbur doesn't pass the ball that much, Walsh said. "We got good pressure on their quarterback all game long and didn't give their offense a chance to set up and throw it like they wanted to."
ACH takes on Wellpinit Friday in Coulee City. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
"They are a tough team and are undefeated(5-0) as well," Walsh said. "This could be a preview of things to come as far as the league championship is concerned."
