The Coeur d'Alene Symphony's first concert of the season promises to deliver splendid sounds.
It will feature Mendelssohn's "Fingal's Cave," Beethoven's "7th Symphony," and Mozart's "Concerto for Two Pianos" with Jeff and Karen Savage.
"I think this is a nice little concert for the public," said David Demand, conductor. "I think they'll really enjoy it."
"Magic of the Masters" is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday at Schuler Auditorium on the North Idaho College campus.
Demand said a highlight will be when the duo of Jeff and Karen Savage, known as 88 Squared, takes the stage.
"They are phenomenal performers," he said.
"It's not often you get two piano concertos with an orchestra," Demand said.
About 60 members of the symphony will be involved in the production.
Tickets can be purchased at the symphony office, Great Harvest Bread, or Burt's Music, or over the phone with a credit card by calling the symphony office at 765-3833 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
