Edwards to speak at kNIFVES event

Filmmaker and composer Gary Edwards will be the guest speaker at the kNIFVES (Northwest Independent Film & Video Entertainment Society) meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, at The Seasons of Coeur d'Alene, 209 Lakeside Ave.

Edwards will discuss the film "How to Date Beautiful Women." Filmmaker Mark Case and Edwards wrote and produced this comedic look at the world of dating and relationships in today's modern world. Edwards will show a portion of the film as well as outtakes.

Dombroski joins Tomlinson Sotheby's

Veteran sales associate and Certified Residential Specialist Pamela Dombroski has recently joined the Tomlinson Sotheby's International Realty team in their Coeur d'Alene Office.

She specializes in residential, acreage, and waterfront.

Trio net designations

Kathy Baker-Carothers with Coldwell Banker Schneidermiller Realty has received the new "Certified Negotiation Expert" designation by the Real Estate Negotiation Institute.

Allyson Knapp of Windermere Cd'A Realty has also been awarded the Certified Negotiation Expert designation by the Real Estate Negotiation Institute.

Becky Stafford of Windermere/Coeur d'Alene Realty has also been awarded the Certified Negotiation Expert designation.

Agents who receive this certification are in the top 1 percent of all agents nationally, according to a press release.

With professional negotiation skills, agents are able to help clients obtain better results in the sale or purchase of their home, the release said.

Silver Summit nears

The ninth annual Silver Summit is set for Oct. 20 and 21 at the Davenport Hotel in Spokane.

Register online at www.SilverSummit.com or in person the morning of Oct. 20. Registration is $40, or one ounce of silver - those intending to pay in silver need to call (208) 556-1621.

All local mining companies will participate, as well as companies from all over the world and market experts. There will also be more than 80 exhibitors.

Eric Sprott, a "major player in the silver markets," will speak at the event, as well as Wall Street Legend Gordon Holmes.

Mine tours will be offered Wednesday morning before the conference begins, and space is limited. The Galena, Lucky Friday and Gold Chest mines will be toured, as well as the Sunshine Precious Metals Refinery.
