COEUR d'ALENE - If you unwrapped your Press this morning, you got it.

If you're reading this online, you didn't get it yet.

Oh, but you will.

Cda Get It is now being launched by The Press throughout Kootenai County. "It" is exactly what it implies: Just about anything you can think of.

Cda Get It (cdaGetIt.com) is a website that connects consumers with the best local businesses offering the best products at the best prices.

That's a lot of "bests," but not an empty boast.

"Cda Get It is quite simply a shopping tool - the best shopping tool in the marketplace," said Publisher Jim Thompson.

Thompson explained that with so many local businesses struggling in the down economy and consumers battered by an array of sites competing for their dollars, one site was needed to put the businesses and their prospective customers together.

Cda Get It is adding participating businesses to the site every day, and those businesses are making their best offers, including exclusive coupons and other discounts, that put them ahead of the competition.

For instance, the Daily Deals on cdaGetIt.com guarantee at least 50 percent savings from restaurants, health and beauty businesses, entertainment, recreation and other shopping options. Coupons run the gamut, from delicious food to clean carpets. In the market for cosmetic braces that are on for just six months? Smile: A business on Cda Get It is offering $500 off.

"As good as Cda Get It is for consumers," said Mike Alexander, manager of new media for The Press, "it's every bit as good for the businesses. What makes this unique is that it reaches customers through their home or office computers, through their smartphone or other mobile devices, and it's promoted by the most effective, far-reaching medium in Kootenai County - The Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls Press."

Participating businesses receive 16 featured products and qualify for major discounts on their print advertising. The site gives customers a map showing each business location, links customers to the businesses' website, Facebook and Twitter pages, and offers a number of services to help the businesses increase their web traffic.
