WAPATO - The Othello Huskies got a goal from Kimberly Bullis in the 16th minute of play Tuesday evening to beat Wapato 1-0 in CWAC action.
The lone goal of the match came off a cross pass from Daisy Salgado to Bullis who rocketed the shot to the corner of the box.
"We won, but it was a horrible display of soccer," coach Kevin McDonald said. "We played like it was our first game of the year... didn't put much energy into the match."
McDonald said if the team plays they same way against Prosser Saturday, the Huskies won't have much of a chance to pull out a win.
"We have to be able to maintain our focus and need to finish," he said. "If we don't, we'll get our lunch handed to us."
McDonald said Bullis, the leagues leading scorer, needs to continues her offense prowess if they expect to have a chance to pull out a win.
"She's scored five goals so far, and there is no reason to believe she won't be able to keep it going against the Mustangs," he said. "She can present a lot of match up problems for them. She is a fast, physical player, and is not going to get knocked off the ball."
The win over the Wolves runs Othello's record to 3-1 in league play.
