Occupy Coeur d'Alene Planned

In step with the anti-corporate protests cropping up across the country and around the world, North Idaho residents have scheduled an Occupy Wall Street event in Coeur d'Alene for this Saturday.

According to the Occupy Coeur d'Alene Facebook page, the event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on October 15 at 111 South 1st Street, at the Hagadone Corporation facility.

So far, 48 hvae posted that they will be attending, though that's no guarantee.

According to the page, the event is targeted against the nation's top wealthiest 1 percent.

"We come to you at a time when corporations, which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality, run our governments," the page reads.
