Four people injured in collision on SR 24

MATTAWA - Four people were injured when a driver reportedly failed to yield at a stop sign near Mattawa on September 27.
Mario T. Vincente, 30, Sunnyside, was driving a 1998 Honda Accord west on Road 24 Southwest, near Mattawa, and stopped at a stop sign at the intersection with state Route 243. He pulled on to the highway in a left turn, reportedly failing to yield to an oncoming car, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Kevin Jorgensen, 28, Yakima, was driving a 1998 Ford Ranger pickup north on SR 243 and collided with Vincente's Honda.
Both were injured, along with Vincente's passengers Cesar Dominguez Corcuera, 28, Mattawa, and Alejandro Santiago, 36, Mattawa. All four were transported to hospitals for injuries.
All were wearing seat belts.
The state patrol anticipates that Vincente will face charges of failure to yield.
