Three Silver Valley juveniles were reportedly en route to commit murder when they were arrested last month in central Montana.

The teenagers, who stole a truck, money and guns, had their first appearance in court Thursday.

According to court documents, a 13-year-old pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting three felony grand theft charges, misdemeanor possession of a weapon by a minor and running away.

Another 13-year-old pleaded guilty to felony grand theft of a 1991 Dodge Dakota truck, felony grand theft of firearms, felony grand theft of $2,000 from his grandmother and running away. He pleaded not guilty to burglary.

A 16-year-old pleaded guilty to felony grand theft of firearms, aiding and abetting the felony grand theft of the truck, aiding and abetting the felony grand theft of money, possession of firearms as a minor and running away. He pleaded not guilty to aiding and abetting felony burglary.

The group was headed for the 16-year-old's father's house in Malta, Mont., according to court documents. He told officers his father had previously physically abused him - both of his shoulders had been broken, which required surgery.

The 16-year-old stated the physical injuries are gone now, but mental issues remain.

He initially denied they planned to shoot his father to death, documents state, but later told officers, "All right, we were going to go and do it but when we, like, got half way there I second thought about it and told them, No, let's just go talk to my dad, I don't wanna go to prison for life."

Documents state the group's plan was to, "go to his dad's house, try to talk to him, shoot him and then be on the way."

The boys were caught after being pulled over by police on or around Sept. 9. According to court documents obtained by the Hagadone News Network Friday, the boys allegedly had a Yugoslavian rifle, Smith and Wesson .38 special revolver, Smith and Wesson .40 automatic, a Smith and Wesson .40 high point and/or another Smith and Wesson .40 automatic in their possession.

The court ordered social inquiry investigations and reports as well as psychological evaluations and reports on each child and schedules dispositions for the later part of November and the first part of December, Shoshone County Prosecutor Val Siegel wrote in a memo to the News-Press.

The Court could impose up to 90 days of juvenile detention for each misdemeanor and up to 180 days of juvenile detention for each felony, Siegel wrote. The Court could also place each child on supervised probation for up to three years or commit each to the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections for a period of time not to exceed their 19th birthdays.
