Badgers play in Crossover Classic

The Bagdres varsity volleyball team played in the Crossover Classic in Spokane on Oct. 8.

They girls played five matches against teams from larger schools with the exception of Timberlake.

The Badgers lost their matches with following scores, Lewiston 16-25, 18-25,  West Valley of Yakima 9-25. 12-25, Kings 15-25, 12-25, Pasco 17-25, 25-22, 11-15, Timberlake 25-16, 17-25, 12-15.

“Although we didn't have any wins for the day. It was great experience and we were playing with Freshman setter Savannah Woods and sophomore setter Emma Kelly who both did a wonderful job stepping up to the challenge,” said coach Janis Tucker.

Mattea Bertling had four ace serves, Tessa Payne had 15 digs, Ally Merrifield 12 digs Natasha Gray four clocks, Savannah Woods has 23 assists and Emma Kelly has 15 assist.

Tucker said the Badgers  have a tough week coming up.

The Badgers celebrated their seniors against Post Falls junior varsity on Monday, travel to Clark Fork on Tuesday, Travel to Kellogg on Thursday.Read about scores and stats for these games  in the Oct. 20, edition of the Herald..

Next week we play at St. Maries at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20 then at the district tournament is Saturday, Oct. 22  at Lakeland High School. Time will be announced.
