Mayor challenger interview Galbraith

This year ‘s election for city government brings a challenger for the mayor of the City of Bonners Ferry.

Steve Galbraith was born and raised in Boundary County and his name will be on the ballot for city mayor.

He is married to DeAnna Galbraith who he said is very encouraging.

Galbraith has five children and 13 grandchildren.  He is a 1971 graduate of Bonners Ferry High School.

Galbraith worked as a foreman of the city streets department for 17 years. He also worked briefly for Boundary County road and Bridge.

Galbraith said he would like to see the city grow in a good direction and would like to see some improvements.

“I would like to see some if we could come up with a solution to the big snow berms left in the city resident’s driveways from the snow plows,” Galbraith said.

He said he would like to see a better balance and the right people to be there for the needs of the city.
