Cardinals plow through Snow

COEUR d'ALENE - Janele Vogt had 15 kills and two blocks as the eighth-ranked North Idaho College volleyball team defeated Snow College 25-22, 23-25, 25-21, 26-24 in a Scenic West Athletic Conference match at Christianson Gymnasium on Thursday night.
Sabrina Ewing had 13 kills and two blocks for NIC (17-7, 4-1 SWAC), which hosts fifth-ranked Salt Lake on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the school's Dig Pink breast cancer awareness match.
"Janele and Sabrina had awesome games tonight," NIC coach Kandice Kelly said. "Both of them came mentally and physically prepared to play tonight."
Mariah Smith had 11 digs and Sierra Pancho 39 assists for NIC.
"Every single game was close, but the girls never got down," Kelly said. "That was good to see. Now we'll prepare for Salt Lake and hopefully get a sweep this weekend."
Snow falls to 3-11, 1-5.
