Vera Peppers, 75, longtime Moses Lake resident died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in Columbia Crest Care and Rehabilitation Center, Moses Lake. Vera was born January 7, 1936 in Scottsbluff, NE to Marion Edward "Ted" and Ida (Hemel) Peppers.

Vera lived in Waterville, WA until she was in high school, when her family moved to Moses Lake due to her father working for the Utah and Idaho (U & I) Sugar Company. Vera graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1956. Shortly thereafter, she worked in the Laundry Service at Larson Air Force Base near Moses Lake. She was later transferred to Texas where she worked until that base closed and she returned to Moses Lake. She then began her career with Carnation, where she retired from after many, many years of dedicated service.

Vera is survived by one brother Gerald Peppers and one sister Linda Peppers, and special lifelong friend Marilee Harder of Moses Lake.
