After Wenatchee took an early 6-0 lead, Lake City answered with Williams' 2-yard TD run, followed by Shipley's TD scamper midway through the second quarter. A Wenatchee touchdown and 2-point conversion tied the game at 14-14 after the first quarter.

Wenatchee attempted a 2-point conversion to take the lead, but the Lake City defense hurried the Wenatchee quarterback, forcing an incompletion.
