Chiefs rally past 'Tips, still perfect at Arena

SPOKANE - Mitch Holmberg scored the go-ahead goal midway through the third period as the Spokane Chiefs remained unbeaten at home (4-0) with a 3-1 win over the Everett Silvertips in a Western Hockey League game at the Spokane Arena in front of 5,421 on Saturday night.

Everett led the game 1-0 through two periods, but Darren Kramer was able to tie the game 8:34 into the final period.

Dominik Uher capped the scoring in the final minute for Spokane, which outshot Everett 38-21, including a 17-7 edge in the third period.

Steven Bardaro had two assists to extend his scoring streak to eight games for Spokane.

Spokane (5-2-0-1, 11 points) is tied with Portland for second place in the U.S Division and is one of two teams in the WHL (Saskatoon) that remain unbeaten at home.

Spokane hosts Saskatoon on Friday at the Spokane Arena.
