26th Anniversary

Robert and Terri Manning will be celebrating 26 years of marriage on Oct. 18, 2011. They were married in Caldwell in 1985.

They have lived most of their married life in Coeur d'Alene and Athol where they reside now.

WEDDING

Knapp-Houser

Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Knapp along with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Houser are pleased to announce their marriage of their children, Sara Knapp and Andrew Houser on Aug. 6, 2011, at the Post Falls Church of the Nazarene.

Sara is a 2007 graduate of Post Falls High School and Andrew graduated from Project CDA in 2006. Sara is a full-time student, pursuing a career in nursing and Andrew is the kitchen executive director at Brookdale Senior Living in Salem, Ore.

The couple will honeymoon in Disneyland over Thanksgiving.

MILITARY

Navy Midshipman Steven T. Hallgren, son of Cheryl R. and Eric W. Hallgren of Rathdrum and more than 900 other freshmen recently completed Plebe Summer while attending the United States Naval Academy.

Plebe summer is the summer training program which is required of all incoming freshmen to the U.S. Naval Academy. The six-weeks training developed Hallgren morally, mentally and physically. He was also instilled with the highest ideals of duty, honor and loyalty. Hallgren will go on to complete the academic year as a Midshipmen.

Hallgren is a 2011 graduate of Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy in Coeur d'Alene.

Army Reserve Spec. Steven L. Hanni is returning to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., after being deployed to Afghanistan serving in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Hanni is the son of Sioned L. and Steve L. Hanni of Rathdrum. He is a 2007 graduate of Lakeland High School in Rathdrum.

He is a combat engineer with the 469th Engineer Company in Dodgeville, Wis.

Madison Lee Anderson-Frett was born Sept. 26, 2011, to Jessica Anderson and Robert Frett Jr. of Post Falls, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene. She weighed 6 lbs. 3 oz. Maternal grandparents are Cindy and Craig Gaertner of Post Falls. Paternal grandparents are Karen and JayDee Peters of Post Falls.

Emma Katherine Shepard was born at 5:58 p.m. Sept. 25, 2011, to Kelli and James Shepard of Hayden. She weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. and was 21 inches long. Brothers are William and Jacob. Maternal grandparents are Rod and Debbie Colwell. Paternal grandparents are Don and Dawna Shepard.

Athena Rose Coontz was born Sept. 5, 2011, to Chelsea Alexander and Cody Coontz of Post Falls. She weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz. and was 19.5 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Rick and Pam Alexander of Post Falls. Paternal grandparents are Pam Miles and Bill Coontz of Coeur d'Alene. Maternal great-grandparents are Rick and Peggy Alexander of Post Falls, and Larry Rinehart of Escondido, Calif. Paternal great-grandparents are Karen Beatty of Rosalia, Wash., and Bobby Mott of Arkansas. Maternal great-great-grandfather is Frank Alexander of Post Falls. Paternal great-great-grandmother is Ruby Warnock of Rosalia.

Bailee Lorraine Dorn was stillborn Oct. 8, 2011, to Lacey (Shipp) and Benjamin Dorn of Hauser, at Kootenai Health Center in Coeur d'Alene. She weighed 3 lbs. 15 oz. Maternal grandparents are Dennis and Leslee Shipp of Hauser. Paternal grandparents are Brenda Dorn of Hayden and the late Tommy-John Dorn.
