HELENA - Hannah Sackett had 10 kills and Timi Severson had six blocks, but the Flathead Bravettes couldn't get past Kaitlyn Oliver and the Helena High Bengals in Western AA volleyball play on Thursday.

Oliver had 15 kills as the No. 1-ranked Bengals wrapped up the regular season conference title and the bye to the state tournament with a 25-16, 19-25, 25-21, 25-14 victory over No. 3 Flathead (7-3, 15-8).

Sackett also had 16 digs.

"Way too many unforced errors. We had missed serves, passing errors, hitting errors. We've never had so many hitting errors," said Flathead coach Leon Wilcox.

"It wasn't a whole team effort. We had rotations that were good and rotations that just weren't clicking," he said.

"We just looked lopsided," he said.

Nouf Rashoodi had 18 digs and served two aces.

Alison Lunde had 18 assists and Kylie Schlegel had nine kills and four blocks for the Bravettes.

Flathead will take on Helena Capital at 1 p.m. today.

Kills - Flathead 37 (Hannah Sackett 10, Kylie Schlegel 9), HHS 38 (Kaitlyn Oliver 15, Sydne Simanton 10); Blocks - Flathead 11 (Timi Severson 6, Kwyn Johnson 4, Schlegel 4, Emma Andrews 4), HHS 6 (Oliver 5); Assists - Flathead 37 (Alison Lunde 18, Emily Russell 17), HHS 31 (Kyndal Williams 30); Digs - Flathead 79 (Nouf Rashoodi 18, Sackett 16), HHS 50 (Aris Frost 16, Simanton 15); Aces - Flathead 5 (Rashoodi 2, Iris Matulevich 2), HHS 9 (Simanton 3).
