Notice of Application and Proposed DNS: October 20, 2011

Notice is hereby given that a Discretionary Use Application and SEPA Checklist were received by Grant County on 8/5/11 from Maiers Enterprises (Contact: Columbia Northwest Engineering, 249 N. Elder Street, Moses Lake, WA 98837); and were found to be technically complete on 10/13/11. Grant County expects to issue a Determination of Non-Significance for this proposal and the Optional DNS Process in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. This proposal may include mitigation measures under applicable codes, and the project review process may incorporate or require mitigation measures regardless of whether an EIS is prepared. This may

be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal and the proposed mitigation measures. A copy of the subsequent threshold determination may be obtained upon request. PROJECT: The applicant is proposing to establish a Mini-Storage Facility on a 2.08 acre area in the Urban Commercial 2 Zone. The facility will have 50, 10' x 20' units and 34, 10' 10' units. There will also be a 9-bay building for RV Storage. ADDITIONAL PERMITS REQUIRED: Building Permit. CONSISTENCY STATEMENT: This proposal is subject to and shall be consistent with the Grant County Code, International Building Code and International Fire Code. LOCATION: The project site is located just west of the intersection of Konishi Rd. and Valley Rd. in the Cascade Valley area. The proposal is located in a portion of S. 17, T. 19 N, R. 28 E., W.M., Grant Co., WA. PUBLIC HEARING: None.
