ELLENSBURG - The Bulldogs Hannah Hugo broke a 1-1- tie in the 70th minute of play to hand Othello a disappointing 2-1 loss Tuesday.

The win improves Ellensburg record to 6-2 in CWAC play and puts the team a game back of second place Prosser. The loss drops the Huskies to 5-3, and into fourth place in the standings.

Ellensburg got on the board with a goal by Kortney Durand off an assist by Keilin Farrand at the 30-minute mark to take a 1-0 lead. It was the only score in the first half of play.

Daisy Salgado got the Huskies going with the first score of the second half in the 69th minute of action to tie the match 1-1.

One minute later, Hugo rocketed home the game winning goal for a 2-1 victory.

Othello goalie Allesha Reyes had nine saves. The Vikings keeper Sammy Bell-Ruelas rejected four Huskie shots on goal.

Othello host Selah Saturday, and finishes out the regular season on the road against Ephrata Tuesday.

Ellensburg has a bye on Saturday and ends league play Tuesday at Selah.
