Kalus nets 2, Chiefs win 5th straight

SPOKANE - Marek Kalus scored two goals as the Spokane Chiefs rallied from a 3-1 deficit to beat the Saskatoon Blades 5-3 for their fifth consecutive Western Hockey League win in front of 4,918 on Friday night at the Spokane Arena.

Spokane trailed 2-0 after the first period and got on the board as Darren Kramer scored a power-play goal midway through the second period to pull the Chiefs to within 2-1.

Kalus' second goal of the game 4:21 into the third tied the game at 3-3 and Dominik Uher scored the eventual game-winner with 2:56 remaining in regulation.

Spokane (6-2-0-1, 13 points) hosts Everett tonight at 7:05 at the Spokane Arena.
