Autopsy shows Primmer death was accidental
Autopsy results indicate that the cause of death of a 68-year-old Rathdrum man last Sunday was drowning and positional asphyxia.
Dean Primmer was found upside down in a culvert that is part of a small catch basin that contained water in the Willadsen Road area, just west of the 17000 block of Highway 41 north of Rathdrum.
“There is no evidence of foul play, just a tragic accident,” said Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department Maj. Ben Wolfinger.

A Coeur d’Alene resident reported a theft of $14,000 worth of jewelry from her home this week.

The Sarge Court home is always secured when the family leaves, she said, and there had been no forced entry into the home.
She believes the jewelry might have been taken by juveniles who visited her son over the weekend.
