Art on the Run deadline nears

The deadline for Fleet Feet Coeur d'Alene's second Art on the Run is coming up. The submission date for the running-inspired art contest and show is Nov. 7

The works will be displayed during the downtown Art Walk on Friday, Nov. 11.

The Art on the Run theme is running.

"We're looking for photography, drawings, paintings, sculpture and other art work that conveys passion for the sport and the feelings that make us want to lace 'em up and move," according to a press release.

Multiple submissions are OK for display, but only one contest entry per artist is allowed.

The best-in-show prizes for the contest include a free pair of shoes for first, a Fleet Feet gift card for $40 for second and a Fleet Feet gift card for $20 for third.

There is no charge for entry. All entries must be accompanied by an entry form available at Fleet Feet.

The Art on the Run show will be 6 p.m. Nov. 11 at Fleet Feet, 511 Sherman Ave. There will be snacks and refreshments, too.

New ownership for Uptown Scubs of Coeur d'Alene

Uptown Scrubs, 1801 Lincoln Way, Coeur d'Alene, is under new ownership.

David R. Weingart, owner, has two employees, Tami O'Neill, manager, and Christi Edmonds.

They sell nurses uniforms, nurses shoes, stethoscopes, and other nurses supplies and accessories.

Store hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday 10 to 4 p.m.

It was known as Scrubs and More.
