Grant County has issued a Mitigated Determination of

Non-Significance (MDNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act

Rules (WAC Chapter 197-11) for the following project: To expand a

private composting facility in order to increase their composting

to allow up to fifty (50) percent of their total production for

commercial use. Development of the composting facility will include

approximately 16 to 20 acres of a 174.50 acre parcel of land.

Grant County has issued a Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (WAC Chapter 197-11) for the following project: To expand a private composting facility in order to increase their composting to allow up to fifty (50) percent of their total production for commercial use. Development of the composting facility will include approximately 16 to 20 acres of a 174.50 acre parcel of land. The composting facility plans to operate seasonally, approximately four (4) months in the spring and three (3) to four (4) months in the fall. The subject parcel is located in the Agricultural zoning District of Grant County. The subject parcel is located in the northeast corner of the intersection of Road D and 13 Road SW, and in a portion of Section 4/5, Township 16 North, Range 26 East, WM, Grant County, WA (Parcel #21-0846-000). After a review of a completed Environmental Checklist and other information on file with the Planning Department, Grant County has determined that this proposal does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment as conditioned.
