The last of the paving on Second Street and Central Avenue in Whitefish is finished Tuesday afternoon. Concrete work will continue this week to finish sidewalks and alley aprons. Work on the Second Street reconstruction is expected to wrap up for the season sometime in early to mid-November, according to City Manager Chuck Stearns. Separately, Central Avenue between First Street and Railway opened up Saturday, completing the final phase of that three-year downtown improvement project, Stearns said.
