Health district to offer flu shots on Friday
HAYDEN - The Panhandle Health District will provide flu shots for all ages from 1:30-4 p.m. Friday at the PHD office, 8500 N. Atlas Road.
PHD is one of few providers with the high dose vaccine for people age 65 and older. The high dose vaccine contains four times the antigen of the regular flu vaccine to jump start the immune system, which slows down with age.
The high dose shot is $50. Adult shots cost $29 and flu vaccine for children costs $10. PHD accepts Medicaid, Medicare Part B, credit cards, checks and cash.
No appointments are necessary.

PonderosaElementary fall carnival Friday
POST FALLS - The Ponderosa Elementary fall carnival, a fundraiser for the school's parent-teacher organization and classroom supplies, will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday at 3483 Ponderosa Boulevard in Post Falls.
The public is invited.
There will be games, raffles, bingo, bounce houses, face painting and concessions.
Non-violent costumes are welcome.
