WARDEN - Lake Roosevelt strolled into Warden Friday night looking to steal a win and get back in the thick of things in the 2B Central Washington South conference.

"We ran the ball well and threw the ball well," coach Erik Skone said. "We were efficient on offense and made some good defensive plays too."

"They got a touchdown with five seconds to go," Skone said. "We made a couple of bad attempts on tackles and they were able to get it in the end zone."

Tough defense and determined offensive line play, Skone said, were key to the win.

"We made some big stops early on and put them in third and long situations," he said. "And the 'O' line did the best job of run blocking all year."
