Mary Sue was an incredibly thoughtful woman who loved to serve her family and friends. Nana always had a home full of love and treats for her three granddaughters providing lots of play time in the playhouse and beautiful tea parties. She enjoyed the simple giving and receiving of cards. She found enjoyment in gardening and always had beautiful flowers surrounding her. Mary Sue served others by providing meals for those in need and would give pies "just because." She treasured her dear childhood friends, Joan and Andy Anderson and Juanita and Wylie Echelbarger. Mary Sue touched many in the communities of Kootenai and San Diego counties. Her shoes could never and will never be filled. She loved all and was loved by all.

Her mother and Mary Sue moved to Escondido, Calif., to be near her brother who served in the Navy and was stationed in San Diego. Mom married our Dad in 1958 when she was a senior in high school. Their first child, David Jr., was born a year later. Nine years later, Sheri, was born and Mary Sue took a year off from work to be with her. She was employed at Pacific Bell in 1960 retiring in 1990. David and Mary Sue moved to Hayden in 1993 to be near her daughter and son-in-law and their first unborn grandchild.
