Two Canadian golfers top the leader board after the first round of the 74th edition of the annual Labor Day Golf Tournament at Buffalo Hill Golf Club.

Jordan Alford of Calgary shot a 2-under 64 on two trips around the Cameron Nine Saturday for a one-shot lead on Jeff Bishop of Vancouver, Wash., Logan Lindholm of Kalispell and Doug Spark of Calgary.

Spark had the shot of the day with a double eagle 2 on the par 5 eighth hole.

Five players are tied for fifth place with 66s - Kyle Mossfeldt of Whitefish, Brad Karns of Vancouver, Ryan Santa and Ryan Porch, both of Kalispell, and Mike Shearburn of Dallas.

Kali Gordon of Black Diamond, Alberta, turned in a 5-over 79 on the Championship 18 for the 18-hole lead in women's play.

Former Kalispell champ Debbie Boreson is one shot back and defending champion Teigan Avery is just two strokes behind the leader.

Tied for fourth with 84s are Katleyn Inlow of Calgary, and Wendy Madison and Debbie Hadley, both of Kalispell.

Play resumes today with the low flight for men on the Championship 18, while the women play the Cameron Nine twice.

The low flight men will play the Championship 18 again on Monday, the final day of the 54-hole tournament.
