Lake Coeur d'Alene cruise to benefit NIC athletics
COEUR d'ALENE - The North Idaho College Booster Club is kicking off the 2011-2012 athletics season with a sunset cruise on Lake Coeur d'Alene from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Let's Go Cruisin' will include refreshments and a chance to meet this season's Cardinal coaches and team captains during a pre-cruise function from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Human Rights Education Institute Building, located at 414 W. Mullan. The cruise will include a no-host bar and music.
Boarding begins at 6 p.m. at Independence Point. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased in the NIC athletics office inside Post Hall on NIC's main campus or through any NIC coach.
All proceeds will benefit NIC athletics through the NIC Booster Club.

Gonzaga adds three men's basketball games
SPOKANE - Two regular-season games and an exhibition tilt have been added to the Gonzaga men's basketball schedule.
The Bulldogs will host Oral Roberts on Dec. 15 and Air Force on Dec. 22. The lone exhibition game of the season will be Friday, Oct. 28 against Carroll College of Helena, Mont.
ORU and the Bulldogs will be meeting for the first time, while Gonzaga and Air Force have met five times in their history with the last meeting in 1995. Gonzaga and Carroll last met in 1992.
