Evan Micheal DeShazer, 5

Evan Micheal De-Shazer was born on a beautiful Easter morning, April 16, 2006. God had a different plan for Evan and he soared home on the wings of angels on Aug. 28, 2011.

Evan was the best little boy anyone could have ever asked for. He had the kindest heart and loved everyone he met as if they had been his friend their whole life. Evan touched almost everyone he met and they loved him just as much in return. 

Some of Evan’s favorite things included swimming, riding his bike, Scooby Doo, Batman, Spider-Man, chocolate milk and apples. He was always so full of life he could light up a whole room with his smile.

There are no words to describe how much we will miss our little boy. He was and always will be the brightest shining star in our lives. Evan’s life ended far too soon but in his short time here on Earth he taught us how to laugh, how to live and how to love. He will be missed every single day for the rest of our lives.  

We are so privileged that we had you as our son. I am so glad he also had a chance to spend time with his sister. Evan was the best big brother anyone could have asked for. Even though he is gone from this world he will never be forgotten and his spirit lives on. He will be in our hearts forever and always and we will miss him every single day for the rest of our lives. 

Evan was preceded in death by his grandmother, Cynthia Irwin, who passed away in January. (I know you are up there flying kites together!)

He is survived by his sister, River Ann Rainbow; Mom and Dad; Grandma Lisa and Glenda; Grandpa Troy and James; and more aunts and uncles than I can name. I know we will all be together again someday! 

Private family visitation and funeral services will be held at English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d’Alene. Private burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries. Public memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at Real Life Ministries, 1866 N. Cecil Road, Post Falls.
