Carol A. Paremsky, 71, of Rathdrum, passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at the Life Care Center of Coeur d'Alene.
Carol was born March 15, 1940, to Carroll and Florence (Riley) Batten in Philadelphia, Pa. In 1964 she married Don Paremsky at Vandenburg Air Force Base. Then moved to the Coeur d'Alene area in 1979 from California after her husband Don retired from the Air Force.
Carol was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She was a volunteer and participant of Relay for Life for many years, as well as being a cancer survivor since 1983. Carol enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing cards, puzzles and being ornery. She was always willing to help kids and took everyone under her wing.
Carol is survived by her husband, Don, at home in Rathdrum; son John; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Elise Jaeger and Betty Stogdill; many nieces, nephews and extend family.
She was preceded in death by her two sons, Joseph and David in 1981.
