COEUR d'ALENE - Friday's 5 p.m. cutoff for candidates in all Kootenai County races is in the books. Here's a complete list of who filed to run for the Nov. 8 election, according to a press release by the Kootenai County Clerk's Office. City Council seat races are separated for races that do so. All the fire district races are unopposed.

• Mayor: Lanny Spurlock, incumbent.

• City Council Seat 1: Lewis T. Miller, incumbent.

• Seat 2: Shirley Hyke, incumbent.

• Seat 4: Shane D. McDaniel, incumbent.

Coeur d'Alene

• City Council Seat 1: Ron Edinger, incumbent; Adam Graves, James H. Hollingsworth.

• Seat 3: Derek Aujay, Dan Gookin, Patrick "Mitch" Mitchell, George Sayler, Annastasia Somontes.

• Seat 5: John Bruning, incumbent; Steve Adams, Amber Copeland.

The bones uncovered Tuesday afternoon on a construction site in downtown Coeur d’Alene have been determined to be from 50 to 200 years old.
