Kats buzz Loggers

Wildkat McKenzie Kiser scored three goals and assisted in two more goals, leading Columbia Falls to a lopsided Northern A victory over the Libby Lady Loggers at home on Sept. 8.
Danielle Delventhal scored twice and also had an assist. Haley Purdy and Madison Sandefer each hit the back of the net twice. Melissa Livingston, Cedar Jordt and Julia Burgi also scored for the Wildkats (2-0-0, 4-1-0).
Coach Greg Trenerry played everyone and even the team's two goalies saw time on offense.
Working hard for the Lady Loggers (0-1-0, 0-4-0), Jennifer Johnson made 14 saves in a losing effort.
Next up is the Whitefish Lady Bulldogs in Whitefish on Sept. 15. The game will go a long way toward determining the conference champion. Trenerry is confident the team can get the job done.
"We have to start hard and play the whole game," he said.
Last year, the two squads split. If the Kats can win the conference, they'd open the playoffs at home.
