"This was our first league win in a long time," said Coeur d'Alene coach Dee Pottinger, who took over the program this fall. "It was a pretty exciting night for our team."
Coeur d'Alene last won a league match in the 2008 season.
Coeur d'Alene (8-3, 1-2 5A IEL) switched to a 6-2 offense, starting Michelle Flannery, who finished with 17 assists and four aces.

Kayla McGlathery had six kills, five blocks and five aces, Sydney Williams had six kills, Kendalyn Brainard five kills and Ashley Hammons 12 assists for Coeur d'Alene, which finished with 16 aces as a team.
"We had been struggling with our serves," Pottinger said. "I was really pleased with how the girls focused on their serves and had a good night."
