Massage Envy expanding in Idaho, Montana

Massage Envy, which offers massage and spa services, recently announced that regional developer Dennis Conklin will be expanding and developing a new region in Montana and Idaho.

Massage Envy's development throughout Montana and Idaho is part of a steady and strategic plan being implemented by the brand, which includes expanding in existing markets while entering new cities across the country to help drive the growth of the world's largest system of franchised massage centers.

A Massage Envy regional developer and franchisee since 2005, Conklin has sold out the San Diego region which now has 21 Massage Envy centers. He also owns and operates four of these San Diego locations grossing the highest in sales in the county.

"I love what we have accomplished in San Diego for Massage Envy and helping people experience the true benefits of massage," said Conklin. "I am looking forward to bringing that same success to Montana and Idaho."

In 2010, Massage Envy opened 43 new locations, bringing the total number of centers to 670 units currently operating in 43 states.

For the 530 centers that have been open for more than 12 months as of Dec. 31, 2009, they have averaged nearly $900,000 in annual net sales. The company also is the world's largest employer of licensed/registered massage therapists with more than 16,000 therapists providing over 250,000 massages every week.

"Massage Envy is excited to see Dennis expand into the Montana and Idaho markets," said Massage Envy CEO David Crisalli.
