SANDPOINT - Tristan Gould scored in the 21st minute as the Coeur d'Alene Vikings defeated the Sandpoint Bulldogs 1-0 in a nonleague match on Wednesday at Centennial Field.

Summer Hammond had nine saves for Coeur d'Alene (4-5-2), which hosts Sandpoint on Saturday.

"In the first half, we did a great job of winning the midfield," Coeur d'Alene coach Tarragh Carr said. "Maybe not the prettiest win, but we'll take it."

Sandpoint (2-7-4) hosts Lake City on Saturday.

LEWISTON - The host Bengals scored four goals in the second half to pull away from the Lumberjacks in a nonleague match at Walker Field.

Jesse Suchoski scored on an assist from Dillon Cox in the 27th minute for St. Maries (0-10), which travel to the Lake City JV on Friday.

"It was a really good start with us getting up 1-0 in the first half," St. Maries coach Chris Renaldo said. "We just didn't have the stamina to keep up with them in the second half. For what we've got, we played great - it's just a different season for us this year."
