SPIRITUOUS

When the six-packs got too small

Sleep would scarcely come at all.

Brilliant visions blinded by sacrifice

To grope and stumble in fog of device.

Why the intellects seem afflicted most

When near Einstein IQs they can boast.

When will reality overcome instability

Will it intervene before infinity?

Advice neither wanted nor adhered

An array of assistance deplored.

Procrastination of tomorrow's good intent

Excused by whatever keeps the mind bent.

Inner charisma shall triumph

Rationale will awaken with a thump.

Obstinacy shall become a way of life

Conquered at last by mind's strife.

CHANGES

Choices we make today

become tomorrow's reality.

If we don't take a chance and

make choice, then life

will never change.

SHINING SIN

Sin is like a piece of glass

sparkling like a diamond. If it should be

embraced, it could slash the heart and

produce an infection.

HUMAN FACTOR

My boss said, You

are not doing it fast enough.

I replied, I would, but I am

human.

What happened to the good old days,

When a nickel was a find,

Merry Christmas was a joyous time -

and gifts were one not nine.

Did progress steal the good ol' days

and shuffle them behind?

And what about the world today?

It's falling all apart.

We can't agree on anything.

Where do we even start?

While global warming, hate and crime

run rampant through the land,

it really shouldn't be that way.

It's not what God had planned.

We cannot change this big wide world

and make it like our own.

So let each country live its life

and bring our loved ones home.
