Update: The recall petition paperwork needs more work.

RecallCdA organizer Frank Orzell received a letter signed by City Clerk Susan Weathers advising that the documents need more information, mainly, the specific reasons the group is requesting the recalls.

Orzell told The Press he'll drop off the newly worded petitions tomorrow. The city clerk's office said once they have the acceptable documents, everything could be certified in a day or two and then the 75-day clock begins for the group to collect 4,311 signatures per individual being recalled.

There were more than 75 people at a rally outside Coeur d'Alene City Hall this morning.

The gathering was held by a group of citizens who are calling themselves RecallCdA. Their mission is to have Mayor Sandi Bloem and City Council members Mike Kennedy, Woody McEvers and Deanna Goodlander removed from office.

The rally marks the group's submission of the 20 signatures needed to initiate a recall petition.

Organizer Frank Orzell walked into City Hall with the petition documents as the crowd chanted "Recall." He pumped his fist in the air before walking in.

There were several supporters of Mayor Bloem at the rally.

The petition documents are now being reviewed by the city's legal team.
