POST FALLS — A wet Interstate 90 is blamed for a Wednesday night car wreck in Post Falls that injured a 22-year-old Montana man.
Another driver tried to pass the traffic stopped due to the crash. The person drove into the crash scene and was arrested for DUI.
According to Idaho State Police, Jerry D. Sharp, 62, Coeur d'Alene was westbound when he lost control of his 2010 Toyota Tundra truck, drove into the median and came back onto the roadway striking a 1995 Isuzu Rodeo driven by Nicholas A. Morigeau, Arlee, Mont.
Morigeau, who was also westbound, was transported to Kootenai Medical Center where he was treated and released. Sharp was not injured. Both were wearing their seatbelts.
While on scene, officers arrested a DUI driver, unrelated to the original crash, who drove around the stopped traffic and into the crash scene after sideswiping a pickup truck.
The roadway was blocked for about 45 minutes.
