Fern May Faulds, 104, passed away at Pinewood Care Center in Coeur d’Alene on April 1, 2012.

Fern was born in Charlson, N.D., on Dec. 27, 1907, to Henry and Ida Bell (Spencer) Falk. Fern was raised on the family farm in North Dakota. Her father passed when she was 12 and her mother continued running the farm while raising the family. The family moved to Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, where she later worked for T.C. Davis, Judge of the Court of Appeals of Saskatchewan. After living in Canada for 10 years she returned to Minot, N.D., where she met and married Mearl Morris Faulds on Sept. 19, 1941. Daughter Bonnie was born in Minot. In 1950, they moved to Blackfoot and then to Post Falls in 1981, to be close to her daughter and family.

Fern was a member of the Lutheran Church. She loved to crochet and grow African Violets.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Charles) Neyman; grandchildren, Kenneth (Francis) Neyman, Daniel (Ann) Neyman and Vicky Dennis; great-granddaughters, Hiliary and Hanna Dennis; and sister Vera Priscock.

Fern is preceded in death by her parents, husband Mearl in March 1992, three sisters and two brothers.

The family would like to thank Pinewood Care Center for their outstanding care.

At her request no services will be held. English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d’Alene, is in charge of the arrangements.
